Can I simply switch PHP versions in my hosting panel?
First check whether your provider offers a patched version and whether your application is compatible with it. Prepare a tested backup and an agreed recovery process before making changes.
Is the output of php -v enough?
The command line may use a different PHP version from your website. What matters is the runtime serving web requests and the patch status confirmed by your provider.
What should I include in my request?
Include the affected domain, hosting provider, application or CMS and the PHP version, if known. Please do not send passwords or access credentials by email.
